Cutter's Must
If the patterns have a double contour, they include seam allowances. If the contour is single, the patterns do not include seam allowances. Attention! First of all, print out the paper patterns and lay them out on the fabric width (fabric width can be from 90 cm to 150 cm) to determine how much material you will need (do not forget to account for paired and symmetrical pieces).
- From main fabric:
- Back – 1 piece on fold
- Upper front – 2 pieces
- Lower front – 2 pieces
- Sleeve – 2 pieces
Sewing Instructions
When stitching pieces, pay attention to the notches - they must match! Try to observe the grain line direction.
- Stitch darts on front pieces. Press dart bulk towards the center.
- Stitch the collar seam, folding the front pieces right sides together, press seam open. Overlock the outer edge of the front placket and collar. Stitch and press open shoulder seams, overlock allowances. Clip the shoulder seam allowance on the front piece and stitch the collar into the back neckline, press allowance towards the collar.
- Fold the integrated facing to the wrong side, forming a protruding corner. Clip the allowance at the neckline, stitch the inner of the collar into the seam attaching the upper. Secure the shoulder edges of the upper and facing. Secure the lower edge of the upper front, forming a corner. Align the circular marks and fold the corner to the right side.
- Overlock the outer edge of the integrated facing of the lower. Fold the upper and lower front parts, wrapping the upper with the facing. Stitch the front pieces, simultaneously stitching the integrated facings. Overlock and press allowances downwards.
- Attach sleeves to the front and back, overlock allowances and press towards the sleeve.
- Stitch side seams simultaneously with the sleeve seam. Overlock and press allowances open.
- Overlock hem allowances and sleeve hem allowances, fold inwards and topstitch.
