FABRIC RECOMMENDATIONS: well-draping blouse fabrics made of natural or blended fibers. YOU WILL ALSO NEED: an invisible zipper.

CUTTER'S MUST

IF THE PATTERNS HAVE A DOUBLE CONTOUR, SEAM ALLOWANCES ARE INCLUDED. IF THE CONTOUR IS SINGLE, THE PATTERNS ARE WITHOUT SEAM ALLOWANCES. SEAM ALLOWANCES: all seams 1 cm. Hem allowance – 1.5 cm. ATTENTION! FIRST, PRINT OUT THE PAPER PATTERNS AND LAY THEM OUT ON THE FABRIC WIDTH (fabric width can be from 90cm to 150cm) TO DETERMINE HOW MUCH MATERIAL YOU WILL NEED (do not forget to account for paired and symmetrical details). WHEN STITCHING PIECES, PAY ATTENTION TO THE NOTCHES - THEY MUST MATCH!

• From main fabric:
  • Back - 2 pieces
  • Inner front part – 1 piece on fold
  • Outer front part – 1 piece
  • Front yoke – 1 piece
  • Back neckline facing – 2 pieces
  • Front neckline facing – 1 piece

Sewing Instructions

1. Stitch darts on the back, press allowances towards the center. Overlock center edges separately. Stitch seam from zipper mark to hem. Press allowances open, pressing the slit for the zipper. Insert the zipper.
2. Stitch darts on the inner front part, press allowances upwards. Form and secure pleats on the outer front part. Overlock the center and bottom edges of the outer part, press to the wrong side and topstitch. Place the outer front part onto the inner part, secure along the edges and treat as one piece.
3. Attach the front yoke to the front, press allowances upwards and overlock.
4. Stitch side and shoulder seams, press allowances towards the back and overlock.
5. Stitch shoulder seams of facings, press allowances open. Overlock outer edge. Place facings right sides together with the garment and stitch the neckline edge. Clip allowances at curves, turn facings to the wrong side and press. Secure facings to shoulder seams and zipper tape.
6. Cut (if not ready-made) a bias binding 4 cm wide and length equal to armhole length + 5cm. Fold the bias binding in half lengthwise right side out and press. Place the binding with the armhole edge right sides together and stitch. Clip allowances. Fold the binding to the wrong side and topstitch along the fold to the main piece. Press the seam.
7. Overlock the bottom edge of the blouse, press to the wrong side and topstitch.
