CUTTER'S MUST
- From main fabric:
- 1. Upper BACK PANEL – QTY 2
- 2. Lower BACK PANEL – QTY 1
- 3. Center FRONT PANEL – QTY 1
- 4. Side FRONT PANEL – QTY 2
- 5. FRONT PANEL Insert – QTY 1
- 6. Lower FRONT PANEL – QTY 1 on fold
- 7. Front neckline FACING – QTY 1
- 8. Back neckline FACING – QTY 1
Tip: Cut pieces from knit fabrics are sewn with a special elastic or narrow zigzag stitch. When serging, trim SEAM ALLOWANCES to 0.8 cm. The hem allowance is topstitched with a twin needle to maintain elasticity. You can also sew pieces directly on a 3- or 4-thread serger.
Sewing Instructions
- Fuse FUSIBLE INTERFACING to the back and front neckline FACINGS.
- Stitch the center seam of the upper BACK PANEL, press SEAM ALLOWANCES to the left and serge.
- Attach the lower BACK PANEL to the upper BACK PANEL, press SEAM ALLOWANCES and serge.
- Attach the side FRONT PANEL to the center FRONT PANEL, press SEAM ALLOWANCES and serge.
- Attach the FRONT PANEL insert to the upper part, press SEAM ALLOWANCES downwards and serge. Create pleats on the lower FRONT PANEL according to the markings, attach the lower part to the insert, press SEAM ALLOWANCES towards the insert and serge.
- Stitch the shoulder seams, press SEAM ALLOWANCES towards the BACK PANEL and serge.
- Stitch the side seams simultaneously with the lower SLEEVE edges, press SEAM ALLOWANCES and serge.
- Stitch the neckline FACING pieces together. Press SEAM ALLOWANCES and serge, serge the outer edge. Place the FACING with the garment right sides together and stitch the neckline edge. Press SEAM ALLOWANCES, clip at curves, turn the FACING to the wrong side and topstitch onto the blouson: on the FRONT PANEL - into the seam of the center part attachment, and on the BACK PANEL - along the serged edge.
- Serge the hem allowance of the garment and SLEEVE, press to the wrong side and topstitch.
