Cowl Neck Flutter Sleeve Blouse

This women's sewing pattern features a graceful blouse with a softly draped cowl neckline and unique two-piece flutter sleeves, fastened with a discreet side zipper.

When To Wear:

  • Casual Elegance: Perfect for sophisticated everyday wear or smart-casual gatherings.
  • Office & Professional: Pairs beautifully with tailored skirts or trousers for a polished work ensemble.
  • Evening & Social: An elegant choice for dinner dates or social events, especially when crafted from luxurious fabrics.

Key Design Features

Silhouette: a semi-fitted blouse with gentle shaping at the waist, designed for comfort and elegant drape.

Neckline: a wide neckline with a soft cowl drape, created by a separate folded loop piece caught into the neckline facing seam so that it falls in folds across the front.

Closure: a concealed zipper neatly integrated into the left side seam for a smooth finish.

Sleeves: Unique two-piece flutter sleeves, formed by separate front and back panels that overlap at the shoulder, are attached to the upper armhole, creating a soft, flowing silhouette. The lower armhole is neatly finished with a bias binding.

Hem: a classic straight hemline at hip length, offering versatility for tucking in or wearing untucked.

Level Of Difficulty

Intermediate. Requires confident sewing skills, including concealed zipper insertion, cowl neck construction, and bias binding application.
