Sewing Instructions
- Fuse interfacing to the Back Neckline Facing, the Front Facing and the Sleeve Facings.
- Stitch the overarm (upper) seams of the sleeves. Press the seams towards the back and overlock.
- Place the pieces right sides together and stitch the side seams and underarm seams in one continuous seam.
- Stitch the shoulder seams of the Back Neckline Facing and Front Facing. Press the seams open. Place the right side of the facing against the wrong side of the blouse and stitch around the neckline. Clip the seam allowance on the curves, turn the facing to the right side, turn under its lower seam allowance and edgestitch the facing to the blouse 0.1 cm from the edge.
- Stitch the seams of the Sleeve Facings. Press the seams open. Place the right side of the facings against the wrong side of the sleeves and stitch around the sleeve hems. Clip the seam allowance on the curves, turn the facings to the right side, turn under their lower seam allowance and edgestitch the facings to the sleeves 0.1 cm from the edge.
- Clip the lower edge of the blouse at the notches. Overlock the section between the marks. Fold the overlocked edge to the wrong side and place the elastic underneath it. Stretch the elastic and stitch it in place with a zigzag stitch, leaving 1 cm free at each end.
- Place the Waistband pieces right sides together and stitch along three sides: from the notch to the side edge, along the side edge and along the lower edge. Turn the waistband right side out and press.
- Stitch the outer waistband to the lower edge of the blouse, catching the ends of the elastic in the seam. Turn under the raw seam allowance of the inner waistband and topstitch it along the waistband attachment seam.
