Cutting Plan
From main fabric:
- 1. Back – 1 piece
- 2. Front – 2 pieces
- 3. Front Yoke – 2 pieces
- 4. Sleeve – 2 pieces
- 5. Collar – 1 piece
Sewing Instructions
ATTENTION! Before starting, check that your head fits through the collar stitched into a loop.
Tip: Knit fabric pieces should be stitched with a special elastic or narrow zigzag stitch. When serging/overlocking, trim seam allowances to 0.6 – 0.8 cm. Hem allowances should be topstitched with a twin needle to maintain elasticity.
- Clip the seam allowance on the front yoke near the mark on the shaped edge. Finish the edge section from the neckline to the mark, fold to the wrong side, press, and topstitch.
- Finish the bottom edge of the front and the wrap edge, fold to the wrong side, press, and topstitch.
- Mark and form pleats on the front. Secure the ends of the pleats with a stitch 0.5 cm from the edge.
- Attach the yoke to the front. Finish the seams and press.
- Overlap the front pieces, forming the wrap, and secure them together. Align the side seams of the back and front. The side edge of the front does not reach the bottom edge of the back by 1.5 cm. Stitch the side seams. Finish the seams and press.
- Stitch the shoulder seams of the back and front. Finish the seams and press towards the back.
- Stitch the sleeve seams. Finish the seams and press.
- Set the sleeves into the armholes, matching notches. Finish the seams and press lightly.
- Finish the bottom edge of the back and the bottom edge of the sleeves. Fold to the wrong side, press, and topstitch.
- Stitch the collar into a loop. Press the collar in half lengthwise, right side out. Attach the outer side of the collar to the neckline of the back and yoke, matching notches. The collar seam is located at the left shoulder seam. Fold the collar allowances inwards and stitch them together.
