Cutting Plan
- Back – 1 piece
- Front – 2 pieces
Tip: Pattern pieces made from knit fabrics should be stitched with a special elastic or narrow zigzag stitch. When serging, trim seam allowances to 0.6 – 0.8 cm. The hem allowance is topstitched with a twin needle to maintain elasticity.
Sewing Instructions
- Stitch the bust dart on the front piece. Trim the dart depth, serge, and press.
- Stitch the side seams of the back and front pieces. Serge the seams and press towards the back. Leave an opening for the tie in the right side seam. Topstitch along the opening in the side seam.
- Serge the bottom edge of the garment and the front vertical edge of the front piece. Fold to the wrong side, press, and topstitch.
- Bind the armhole edge and the wrap edge, forming ties 80-90cm long.
- Bind the neckline edge of the back and front pieces, forming a strap. Adjust the strap length during a preliminary fitting. Start and end the binding at the front neckline, leaving 5cm ends. Thread the ends of the binding tape through the fastener and secure them to the front piece on the wrong side.
