Fabric & Materials
Pattern pieces made from knit fabrics are stitched with a special elastic or narrow zigzag stitch. When serging, trim seam allowances to 0.6 – 0.8 cm. The hem allowance is topstitched with a twin needle to maintain elasticity.
Cutting Plan
From main fabric:
- 1. Back – 1 piece
- 2. Front – 2 pieces
Sewing Instructions
- Stitch the shoulder seams of the back and front. Serge the seams and press them towards the back.
- Serge the armhole and neckline with ties using a narrow edge stitch.
- Stitch the side seams of the back and front. Serge the seams and press them towards the back.
- Stitch the center front seam. Serge the seam and press.
- Serge the garment hem. Fold to the wrong side, press, and topstitch.
