Fabric & Materials

Pattern pieces made from knit fabrics are sewn with a special elastic or narrow zigzag stitch. When serging, trim seam allowances to 0.6 – 0.8 cm. The hem allowance is topstitched with a twin needle to maintain elasticity.

Cutting Plan

From main fabric:

  • Back – 1 piece
  • Front – 1 piece
  • Sleeve – 2 pieces

Sewing Instructions

  1. Stitch shoulder and side seams of the back and front. Serge seams and press towards the back.
  2. Stitch sleeve seams. Serge seams and press.
  3. Set sleeves into armholes, matching notches. Serge seams and press.
  4. Serge the bottom edge of the garment, the bottom edge of the sleeve, and the neckline edge. Fold to the wrong side, press, and topstitch.
