This versatile top is perfect for a variety of casual occasions, offering both comfort and a touch of modern design:

  • Everyday Comfort: Ideal for daily wear, providing a relaxed yet stylish option for running errands or lounging at home.
  • Casual Layering: A foundational piece that can be easily layered under jackets or cardigans for transitional weather.
  • Active & Leisure Wear: Suitable for light activities or relaxed outings, offering ease of movement and breathable comfort.

Key Design Features

Silhouette: A gently fitted silhouette that gracefully follows the natural curves of the body, ensuring comfort without being restrictive.

Neckline: A classic rounded scoop neckline, designed for comfort and ease of wear, creating a soft and approachable look.

Sleeves: Short raglan sleeves, characterized by seams extending from the underarm to the neckline, providing a comfortable and sporty fit with excellent range of motion.

Hem: A subtly curved bottom hem, designed for a neat finish and a flattering line that drapes well over the hips.

Level Of Difficulty

Beginner. Involves straightforward assembly of knit fabric pieces, basic seaming, and hemming techniques suitable for those new to sewing garments, with a focus on working with stretchy materials.

Fabric Recommendations

Choose knit fabrics with good stretch and recovery for optimal comfort and fit, ensuring the garment moves with you:

  • Medium to high stretch knit fabrics (e.g., jersey, interlock, stretch cotton)
  • Natural fiber knits (e.g., cotton, bamboo)
  • Blended fiber knits (e.g., cotton-spandex, viscose-lycra)

Additional Supplies

No additional notions are required.

Cutting Plan

From main fabric:

  • Back – 1 piece
  • Front – 1 piece
  • Sleeve – 2 pieces

Tip: Pattern pieces made from knit fabrics should be sewn with a special elastic stitch or a narrow zigzag stitch. When serging/overlocking, trim seam allowances to 0.6 – 0.8 cm. Hem allowances should be topstitched with a twin needle to maintain elasticity.

Sewing Instructions

  1. Attach sleeve to front. Finish seam and press.
  2. Attach sleeve to back. Finish seam and press.
  3. Stitch the sleeve seam and side seam in one continuous seam. Finish seams and press.
  4. Finish the bottom edge of the garment, the bottom edge of the sleeves, and the neckline edge. Fold to the wrong side, press, and topstitch.
