Cropped Halter Neck Button Front Vest

Cutting Plan

• From main fabric:
• 1. Center back piece – 2 pieces
• 2. Side back piece – 2 pieces
• 3. Center front piece – 4 pieces
• 4. Side front piece – 2 pieces

Sewing Instructions

1. Reinforce the buttonhole and button placement on the front piece.
2. Face the lower edge of the center front pieces. Turn the pieces right side out and press. Then treat the piece as a single layer.
3. Stitch the princess seams on the front and back. Overlock and press towards the center.
4. Stitch the side seams. Overlock the seams and press towards the back.
5. Stitch the center back seam. Overlock the seam and press.
6. Press the bias tape in half lengthwise and face the upper edge of the back and the armhole edges.
7. Face the edge of the front opening with bias tape. Face the edge from the bottom hem upwards, forming a tie 40cm long from the bias tape. Secure the bias tape at the bottom.
8. Overlock the bottom edge of the top, fold up and topstitch 1.5 cm from the bottom edge.
9. On the right front piece, make buttonholes; on the left, sew on buttons.
