Cutting Plan
- From main fabric:
- Back – 1 piece
- Front – 1 piece
- Waistband – 2 pieces on fold
- From fusible interfacing:
Sewing Instructions
- Fuse the waistband with fusible interfacing.
- On the front, mark and cut out the keyhole.
- Press the bias binding in half lengthwise and finish the edge of the keyhole.
- Finish the neckline of the back and front with bias binding, forming a loop on the right side of the front.
- Stitch the dart on the front. Press the dart upwards.
- Finish the armhole edges with bias binding, forming a strap from the bias binding. Adjust the strap length during fitting.
- Stitch the left side seam, leaving a slit in the seam for the waistband. Overlock the seam and press it open, pressing the slits.
- Stitch the right side seam. Overlock and press the right side seam towards the back.
- Finish the waistband: from the notch, finishing the ends of the waistband, and then along the lower edge. Turn the seam out and press.
- Stitch a basting stitch (with loosely tensioned stitches) 0.5 cm from the edge along the bottom edge of the top. Gather slightly.
- Attach the waistband with the outer side to the top. Press the seam towards the waistband. Press the open edge of the waistband down and topstitch into the seam.
- Sew a button on the left side of the front.
