From Main Fabric:

  1. Center Back – 2 pieces
  2. Side Back – 2 pieces
  3. Center Front – 1 piece (cut on fold)
  4. Side Front – 2 pieces
  5. Center Front Facing – 1 piece
  6. Side Front Facing – 2 pieces
  7. Back Facing – 2 pieces

From Fusible Interfacing:

  1. Back Facing – 2 pieces
  2. Center Front Facing – 1 piece
  3. Side Front Facing – 2 pieces

Important Information

Before cutting your fabric:

  • Print and lay out pattern pieces to determine yardage.
  • Check mirrored pieces, notches, and grainlines.
  • For patterned fabrics, align carefully for symmetry.

ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS

1. Interfacing

Apply fusible interfacing to the Back Facing, Center Front Facing, and Side Front Facing.

2. Front Neckline Facing

Stitch the neckline edge of the Center Front with the Center Front Facing.
Turn the seam and press.

3. Facing Assembly

Stitch the Back Facing to the Side Front Facing along the side edge.
Overlock the seam allowances and press open.

Overlock the lower edges of all facing pieces.

4. Back and Side Seams

Stitch the shaped seams of the Center Back with the Side Back.
Overlock the seam allowances and press toward the center.

Stitch the side seams.
Overlock the seam allowances and press toward the Back.

5. Center Back Seam and Zipper

Overlock the center back edges.

Stitch the center back seam up to the notch for the zipper.

Press the seam allowances open, pressing the slit for the zipper.

Insert the zipper.

6. Front Assembly

Stitch the shaped seams of the Center Front with the Side Front, matching notches.

7. Collar Seam

Stitch the facing pieces along the center line of the collar.

Stitch the Side Front pieces along the center line of the collar.

Overlock the seam allowances and press.

8. Collar and Side Front Facing

Place the Side Front facing with the Side Front right sides together.

Stitch the outer edge of the collar, the collar corners, and then attach the facing to the shaped seam of the Front.

Clip the seam allowance at the corner.

Overlock the seam from the corner to the hem and press toward the Side Front.

Turn the collar right side out and press.

9. Back Facing Attachment

Place the Back with the Back Facing right sides together.

At 5 mm from the edges of the concealed zipper, fold the facing away and pin it to the upper edge of the top.

On the right side of the top, fold the seam allowances along the zipper inward and pin them to the upper edge over the facing.

Stitch the upper edges of the Back.

Turn the seam allowances along the zipper to the wrong side.

Fold the facing upward and topstitch along the Back onto the seam allowance at 1–2 mm from the seam.

Turn the facing to the wrong side and secure it to the zipper tape.

Press the pieces.

10. Armhole and Collar Edges

Press the seam allowances along the armhole of the Front and along the collar to the inside.

Topstitch the pieces together at 0.2 cm from the edge.

11. Hem

Overlock the lower edge of the top, turn under, and topstitch at 1.5 cm from the edge.
