Cutting Plan

  • From main fabric:
  • 1. Center back piece – 2 pieces
  • 2. Side back piece – 2 pieces
  • 3. Center front piece – 1 piece
  • 4. Side front piece – 2 pieces
  • 5. Collar – 2 pieces
  • From fusible interfacing:
  • 1. Collar – 1 piece

Sewing Instructions

  1. Reinforce the collar with fusible interfacing.
  2. Stitch the princess seams on the back and front. Overlock the seams and press towards the center.
  3. Stitch the side seams. Overlock the seams and press towards the back.
  4. Overlock the center back edge. Stitch the center back seam up to the zipper notch. Press open the center seam, press the zipper opening allowances. Insert the zipper.
  5. Press the bias tape in half lengthwise and bind the armhole edges.
  6. Fold the collar pieces. Stitch the undercollar to the uppercollar, trim seam allowances and turn the collar right side out. Press the collar, pressing the lower edges.
  7. Attach the collar to the back and front, aligning the pieces at the notches.
  8. Overlock the bottom edge of the top and topstitch at 1.5 cm.
  9. On the collar, create a buttonhole and sew on a button.
