Cutting Plan
- From main fabric:
- 1. Center back piece – 2 pieces
- 2. Side back piece – 2 pieces
- 3. Center front piece – 1 piece
- 4. Side front piece – 2 pieces
- 5. Collar – 2 pieces
- From fusible interfacing:
- 1. Collar – 1 piece
Sewing Instructions
- Reinforce the collar with fusible interfacing.
- Stitch the princess seams on the back and front. Overlock the seams and press towards the center.
- Stitch the side seams. Overlock the seams and press towards the back.
- Overlock the center back edge. Stitch the center back seam up to the zipper notch. Press open the center seam, press the zipper opening allowances. Insert the zipper.
- Press the bias tape in half lengthwise and bind the armhole edges.
- Fold the collar pieces. Stitch the undercollar to the uppercollar, trim seam allowances and turn the collar right side out. Press the collar, pressing the lower edges.
- Attach the collar to the back and front, aligning the pieces at the notches.
- Overlock the bottom edge of the top and topstitch at 1.5 cm.
- On the collar, create a buttonhole and sew on a button.
