- BACK YOKE – 2 QTY

- From FUSIBLE INTERFACING:
- BACK YOKE – 1 QTY
- FRONT YOKE – 1 QTY
Sewing Instructions
- Fuse FUSIBLE INTERFACING to one BACK YOKE and one FRONT YOKE piece.
- Stitch the shoulder seams of the corresponding BACK PANEL and FRONT PANEL pieces. Overcast the seams and press towards the back.
- Finish the inner (straight) edge of the BACK PANEL and FRONT PANEL with BIAS BINDING. Leave the edge connecting the side and shoulder seams unfinished.
- Stitch with loosely tensioned stitches 0.5 cm from the edge along the lower edges of the upper BACK PANEL and FRONT PANEL. Gather from the NOTCH to the side seam.
- Place the FRONT YOKE pieces right sides together. Insert the upper FRONT PANEL pieces between them, aligning the NOTCHES, so that the right side of the FRONT PANEL is on the right side of the interfaced YOKE piece. Stitch the pieces with one seam. Overcast the seam, turn right side out, and press. Stitch the YOKE to the upper BACK PANEL in a similar manner. Subsequently, treat the YOKE as a single-layer piece.
- Stitch the right side seam. Overcast and press the seam open.
- Mark and create one-sided pleats on the SKIRT piece.
- Place the lower edge of the YOKE pieces and the SKIRT together. Stitch the seam, overcast, and press upwards. Topstitch along the seam 1 mm from the seam.
- Stitch the left side seam, leaving the slit unstitched up to the NOTCH for the ZIPPER. Overcast and press the seams open, pressing the slit for the ZIPPER. Insert the ZIPPER.
- Finish the open edges of the BACK PANEL and FRONT PANEL with BIAS BINDING. Secure the ends of the BIAS BINDING by hand. Press the seams.
- Overcast the lower edge of the dress, fold up, and topstitch 0.5 cm from the lower edge.
