- Fuse FUSIBLE INTERFACING to one BACK YOKE and one FRONT YOKE piece, the upper COLLAR, and the center seam allowance of the FRONT PANEL.
- Serge the center edge of the FRONT PANEL and press it to 3 cm.
- Stitch with loosely tensioned stitches 0.5 cm from the edge along the lower and upper edges of the upper BACK PANEL and FRONT PANEL. Gather the fabric.
- Place the FRONT YOKE pieces right sides together. Insert the upper FRONT PANEL pieces between them, aligning the NOTCHES, so that the right side of the FRONT PANEL is against the right side of the interfaced YOKE piece. Stitch the pieces together with one seam. Serge the seam, turn right side out, and press. Stitch the YOKE to the upper BACK PANEL in the same manner.
- Align the lower edge of the FRONT YOKE pieces with the lower FRONT PANEL. Stitch the seam, serge, and press upwards. Topstitch along the seam 1 mm from the seam. Process the BACK YOKE and lower BACK PANEL in the same way.
- Stitch the side seams, leaving the left seam unstitched up to the NOTCH for the ZIPPER. Serge and press the seams open, pressing the ZIPPER openings. Insert the ZIPPER.
- Serge the armhole edges, fold under 0.5 cm, and topstitch. Press the seams.
- Cut a 3 cm wide TRIM STRIP for the loop from the main fabric. Fold the strip lengthwise and stitch 0.5 cm from the fold, stitching one end. Turn the strip right side out and press. Cut the loop to the desired length and baste it to the right side of the COLLAR.
- Place the COLLAR pieces together. Stitch the lower COLLAR to the upper COLLAR, trim the SEAM ALLOWANCES, and turn the COLLAR right side out. Press the COLLAR, pressing the lower edges.
- Attach the COLLAR to the BACK PANEL and FRONT PANEL, aligning the pieces at the NOTCHES.
- Serge the lower edge of the dress, fold under, and topstitch 0.5 cm from the lower edge.
- Sew a button to the left side of the COLLAR.
