Sewing Instructions
- Place the calico pieces onto the corresponding upper pieces on the leather side and sew with quilting stitches. Start quilting 1 cm from the edge, from top to bottom, spacing the stitches 2 cm apart. When doing this, only catch of the flesh side and gently pull the thread. Slash the calico around the perimeter, fold inwards, and sew to the edges of the fur piece with frequent stitches.
- Fold the gussets right sides together and sew them with frequent overlock stitches through the edge. Flatten the seams with a hammer.
- Fold one edge of the facing strip 0.5 cm to the wrong side, fold the strip and the cap right sides together, and sew in the same way as the fur pieces, with frequent overlock stitches.
- Fold the edge of the cap to the wrong side and hem, stitching along the edge where the strip joins the fur with frequent stitches, without pulling the thread too tightly.
- Stitch and press open the lining gussets. Insert the lining into the cap, secure the lining and upper seams. Fold the edge of the lining inwards and hem with frequent blind stitches.
