Paneled Beret with Headband

CUTTER'S MUST

• Main fabric:
1. Gusset - 6 QTY
2. Headband - 1 QTY
3. Tube - 1 QTY
• LINING fabric:
1. Gusset - 6 QTY
2. TRIM STRIP for seam FACING - 1 QTY

Sewing Instructions

1. Stitch gussets in pairs, folding them right sides together. Attach one more gusset to each pair.
2. Fold the longitudinal raw edges of the tube piece to the wrong side towards the center, fold it in half lengthwise, and topstitch 0.1 – 0.2 cm from the edge.
3. Baste the tube to the center of one of the head sections. Fold the gussets together, aligning them precisely in the center, and stitch the center seam, catching the tube.
4. Stitch the LINING pieces similarly to the main pieces. Insert the LINING into the head, secure the LINING and main seams.
5. Stitch the headband into a ring, press the seam open. Fold the headband in half lengthwise, wrong sides together, and topstitch it with parallel stitches, 0.5 – 0.6 cm wide.
6. Fold the headband with the head right sides together, baste, distributing the ease evenly, and stitch, simultaneously applying the TRIM STRIP for FACING from the headband side. Fold the TRIM STRIP to the wrong side, fold the edge, and sew to the seam.
