Key Design Features
Silhouette: a fitted, dart-shaped body flowing into flounces attached along a diagonal seam, creating an asymmetrical, flared lower part.
Neckline: a straight, softly rounded neckline at the front and back, finished with bias binding.
Shoulder Straps: thin straps made from a continuation of the bias binding on both shoulders; a ruffle runs along the neckline on one side and over the shoulder to the back.
Bodice: a fitted bodice shaped with bust and waist darts.
Back: a fitted back with a center back seam.
Hem: an eye-catching asymmetrical hemline formed by the back flounce and two overlapping front flounces, attached along a diagonal seam for graceful movement.
Closure: an invisible zipper in the center back seam.

- Right Back – 1 piece
- Left Back – 1 piece
- Front – 1 piece
- Back Flounce – 1 piece
- Right Front Flounce – 1 piece
- Left Front Flounce – 1 piece
- Flounce (neckline ruffle) – 4 pieces
Sewing Instructions
- Mark and stitch the bust darts. Press the bust darts downwards.
- Mark and stitch the waist darts on the Front and backs. Press the darts on the Front towards the center front, and on the backs towards the center back.
- Overlock the center edges of the Right Front Flounce and Left Front Flounce. Press the overlocked edges to the wrong side and topstitch 0.5 cm from the edge. Overlap the flounces according to the notches and baste the upper edges of the flounces together between the notches.
- Attach the front flounces to the Front, overlock the seam and press it towards the Front.
- Overlock the center back edges of the Right Back and Left Back. Stitch the center back seam up to the zipper notch. Press the center back seam open, also pressing the zipper allowances.
- Attach the Back Flounce to the backs, overlock the seam and press it towards the back.
- Stitch the side seams of the front and back. Overlock the side seams and press them towards the back.
- Stitch the Flounce (neckline ruffle) pieces together at the short side edges, overlock the seams and press. Finish the outer and side edges of the ruffle with a rolled hem.
- Try on the dress, adjust the length of the ruffle and measure the strap length. Baste the ruffle to the neckline edge of the front and back as shown in the technical drawing.
- Fold the bias binding in half and press. Bind the armhole edges of the front and back with bias binding. Then bind the back neckline edge, the inner edge of the ruffle and the front neckline edge. Continue the bias binding to form the strap: stitch it closed and attach it to the back.
- Insert the zipper.
- Overlock the lower edges of the Back Flounce and front flounces, press to the wrong side and topstitch 0.5 cm from the edge.
