  • 3. BACK SKIRT HALF – QTY 2
  • 4. Side FRONT PANEL – QTY 2
  • 5. Center FRONT PANEL – QTY 1
  • 6. FRONT SKIRT HALF – QTY 1
  • 7. Pocket LINING – QTY 4
  • 8. FRONT PANEL FACING – QTY 1
  • 9. BACK PANEL FACING – QTY 2
  • FROM FUSIBLE INTERFACING: FRONT PANEL FACING, BACK PANEL FACING.

Sewing Instructions

  1. Fuse FUSIBLE INTERFACING to FRONT PANEL FACING and BACK PANEL FACING.
  2. Stitch the princess seams on the FRONT PANEL. Overcast the seam and press towards the center of the FRONT PANEL.
  3. Stitch the princess seams on the BACK PANEL. Overcast the seam and press towards the center of the BACK PANEL.
  4. Mark the darts on the FRONT SKIRT HALF and BACK SKIRT HALF. Clip the dart on the FRONT SKIRT HALF. Place pocket LINING right sides together with the garment and stitch. Overcast the seam and turn the pocket LINING to the wrong side. Press SEAM ALLOWANCES towards the LINING. Fold the pocket LINING together and stitch. Overcast the pocket LINING. Secure the pocket fold with fusible web. Press the pocket.
  5. Stitch the FRONT SKIRT HALF to the FRONT PANEL. Overcast the attaching seam and press towards the FRONT SKIRT HALF.
  6. Stitch the BACK SKIRT HALF to the BACK PANEL. Overcast the attaching seam and press towards the BACK SKIRT HALF.
  7. Overcast the center back seam of the BACK PANEL. Stitch the center back seam up to the NOTCHES for the ZIPPER. Press open the center back seam, press the ZIPPER opening. Insert the ZIPPER.
  8. Stitch the side and shoulder seams of the dress. Overcast the side and shoulder seams of the dress. Press the seams towards the BACK PANEL.
  9. Stitch the shoulder and side seams of the FRONT PANEL FACING and BACK PANEL FACING, press seams open. Overcast the outer edge of the FACINGS. Place the FACING pieces right sides together with the garment and stitch the neckline edge of the FRONT PANEL and BACK PANEL. Stitch the armhole in two steps: first the upper edge of the armhole, then the lower edge of the armhole. Topstitch the SEAM ALLOWANCE to the FACING at a distance of 0.2 cm from the seam. Turn the FACING to the wrong side and press. Stitch the center edge of the FACING to the ZIPPER allowance.
  10. Overcast the bottom edge of the dress, fold up and topstitch.
