Sewing Instructions

  1. Stitch the princess seams on the front and back. Overlock the seams and press them towards the center.
  2. Stitch the center seam of the back. Overlock the seam and press it towards the right side of the back.
  3. Stitch and overlock the side seams of the dress.
  4. Stitch the sleeve seam. Overlock and press the seam. Fold the cuff pieces right sides together and stitch around. Trim the cuff corner seam allowances and turn them out. Press the cuffs into their finished shape. Attach the cuff to the lower edge of the sleeve. Overlock the lower edge of the sleeve and cuff and topstitch onto the sleeve at a distance of 0.5 cm from the attaching seam.
  5. Set the sleeves into the armholes and overlock the attaching seam.
  6. Overlock the neckline edge of the front and back, the outer edge of the integrated placket, and also the upper edge of the sleeve.
  7. Stitch around the upper and lower corners of the integrated placket. Trim the seam allowances at the corners and turn out the placket. Attach elastic tape to the sleeve attaching seam with a 0.5 cm bartack along the upper edge of the sleeve. Fold the neckline seam allowance of the front and back and the upper edge of the sleeve to the wrong side of the dress; topstitch at a distance of 1-1.5 cm from the edge. On the right front, baste and overlock buttonholes. On the left front, mark and sew on buttons.
  8. Overlock the lower edge of the dress and fold to the wrong side. Press and topstitch at a distance of 0.5 cm from the edge.
