  • Back Skirt Half – 2 qty
  • Right Front Skirt Half – 1 qty
  • Left Front Skirt Half – 1 qty
  • Facing for front skirt half – 2 qty
  • Facing for back skirt half – 2 qty
  • From fusible interfacing: facings for front and back skirt halves.

Sewing Instructions

  1. Fuse fusible interfacing to: facings for front and back skirt halves.
  2. Mark and stitch darts on the front and back skirt halves. Press darts on the back skirt half towards the center of the back skirt half, and darts on the front skirt half towards the center of the front skirt half.
  3. Mark and stitch pleats on the right front skirt half.
  4. Overlock the center edge of the skirt. Stitch the center seam of the skirt, leaving an opening for the zipper.
  5. Overlock the side edges of the front and back skirt halves. Stitch the side seams of the skirt and press open.
  6. Stitch the side edges of the facings and press seams open. Overlock the outer edge of the facings.
  7. Insert the zipper. Face the corners of the front and back skirt halves, and the upper edge of the front and back skirt halves with the facing. Topstitch the facing allowance onto the facing at a distance of 0.2 cm from the facing seam.
  8. Topstitch the asymmetrical edge of the right front skirt half onto the left front skirt half. Secure the right and left front skirt halves with a 2cm bar tack into the facing seam at the waist edge.
  9. If desired, the hem of the garment and the front edge of the front skirt half can be finished with decorative fringe trim strip or made by hand.
