Sewing Instructions
- Fuse fusible interfacing to the lower waistband of the front and back skirt half.
- Mark and stitch darts on the back. Press darts towards the center of the back.
- Fold the belt loop lengthwise in half, right sides together, aligning the raw edges, and stitch at a distance of 0.5-0.7 cm from the edges. Then turn out, straightening the seam, placing it on the fold, or forming a 0.1-0.2 cm wide edge on the inside and press. Cut belt loops according to the pattern.
- Attach the small pocket bag to the side of the front. Overlock the attachment seam and topstitch onto the pocket bag. Finish the pocket opening with the large pocket bag. Press the pocket opening, forming an edge, and topstitch at a distance of 1 cm from the finishing seam. Secure the side of the front to the front skirt half along the upper edge. Stitch the pocket bag and overlock it.
- Stitch the side edges of the waistband and press open. Attach the waistband to the front and back skirt half, inserting the belt loops.
- Attach the fly to the right of the front. Overlock the center edge of the front and the fly. Stitch the center seam of the front up to the notch for the zipper.
- Overlock the side edges of the front and back. Stitch the side seams of the skirt. Press side seams open.
- Press the attached fly to the wrong side. Attach the zipper under the edge of the seam allowance for the closure, close to the edge. Attach the free zipper tape to the right half to the fly, without catching the fabric of the front half. Fold the fly shield in half lengthwise and stitch the short lower and upper edges. Turn out the fly shield, press, and overlock the straight vertical edges together. Topstitch the closure seam allowance onto the zipper and fly shield on the left half of the skirt.
- Trim the right front of the waistband to the width of the fly. Stitch the side edges of the interfaced front and back waistband and press seams open. Overlock the outer edge of the interfaced front and back waistband. Finish the upper edge of the front and back skirt half waistband with the interfaced waistband. Topstitch the finishing seam allowance onto the facing at a distance of 0.2 cm from the finishing seam. Fold under the center edge of the waistband and lay a decorative rounded stitch on the right side of the front, catching the fly and the folded center edge (right side) of the waistband, and fold under the center edge (left side) of the waistband and topstitch into the attachment seam of the fly shield. Fold under the ends of the belt loop and topstitch onto the waistband with a double stitch.
- Overlock the lower edge of the skirt. Press the hem allowance and topstitch onto the skirt.
