Sewing Instructions
- Mark darts on the front and back. Stitch darts on the front and on the lower back and press towards the center.
- Form pleats on the upper front and attach to the front. Overlock the attaching seam and press towards the upper front.
- Set in the sleeve into the armhole of the front, overlock the setting-in seam.
- Form pleats on the upper back and attach to the lower back. Overlock the seam and press towards the upper back.
- Set in the sleeve into the armhole of the back, overlock the setting-in seam.
- Stitch the side edges of the dress and the sleeve edge with one seam. Overlock the side seams and the sleeve seam and press towards the back.
- Overlock the center edge of the dress. Stitch the center seam of the dress, leaving the upper slit for the zipper and the lower slit. Press open the center seam, pressing the slits. Set in the zipper and secure the seam allowances of the lower slit with fusible interfacing.
- Overlock the neckline edge and the upper sleeve edges. Press and topstitch the overlocked edges, easing them in.
- Cut elastic trim strip, according to size, and topstitch along the neckline and the bottom of the sleeve.
- Overlock the bottom edge of the dress, press, and hand stitch.
