Sewing Instructions
- Gather the fabric for the front parts into smocking. To do this, cut the middle parts of the FRONT PANEL 5 cm larger along all edges. On the wrong side of the fabric, stitch elastic threads with a zigzag stitch at 1 cm intervals, without piercing them with the needle. Gather the fabric on the elastic threads, secure the ends of the threads. Place the pattern of the middle part of the FRONT PANEL on the piece and cut, taking into account SEAM ALLOWANCES.
- Stitch the side and middle parts of the FRONT PANELs. Topstitch the seam.
- Stitch the side and front parts of the cups. Topstitch the seam. Attach the cups to the front. Press the SEAM ALLOWANCE of the upper edge of the cups to the wrong side, turn under and topstitch.
- Press the hem allowance to the wrong side, turn under and topstitch.
- Attach the plackets to the front pieces. Fold the plackets in half lengthwise, right sides together, and stitch along the upper and lower short sides. Turn the plackets right side out, turn under the open edge and topstitch into the attaching seam. Topstitch the plackets close to the edge. Make buttonholes on the right placket, sew buttons to the left.
- Fold the straps in half lengthwise, right sides together, and stitch along the long sides. Turn the straps right side out, press, and topstitch close to the edge. Try on the bra, adjust the length of the straps, and sew them to the upper part of the BODICE.
