Tech. Description

Sewing Instructions

  1. Place all lace fabric pieces onto the silk pieces, wrong sides to right sides, baste along the edges, and then treat as single-layer pieces.
  2. Stitch the front princess seams and the center back seam from the mark downwards. Attach the FLOUNCE to the lower edge of the center back pieces. Stitch the back princess seams.
  3. Press the seam allowances for the closure to the wrong side. Place the ZIPPER under the edges of the opening and stitch so that the teeth are not visible.
  4. Stitch the side and shoulder seams. Clip the shoulder seam allowances at the corners near the COLLAR. Stitch the center COLLAR seam and attach it to the neckline.
  5. Stitch the FACINGs together. Place the FACINGs with the neckline right sides together and stitch along the outer edge. Turn the FACING to the wrong side, baste, and press. Clip the lower FACING allowance, fold it over the COLLAR, and topstitch into the attachment seam. Secure the FACING above the front seam.
  6. Stitch the SLEEVE seams. Set the SLEEVES into the armholes, placing the SLEEVE and garment right sides together and easing along the cap. Place the slit FACING with the SLEEVE right sides together, inserting the loops between them, and stitch. Turn the FACING to the wrong side, baste, and press. Press the SLEEVE hem allowance to the wrong side and hem. Sew buttons to the other side of the slit.
  7. Finish the bottom of the dress with a 1 cm wide hem.
