Sewing Instructions

  1. Fuse the FACING pieces with FUSIBLE INTERFACING.
  2. Stitch the darts, press dart depths towards the center.
  3. Stitch the princess seams on the FRONT PANELS up to the slit mark. Press SEAM ALLOWANCES open.
  4. Stitch the side seams. Stitch the inseams. Press SEAM ALLOWANCES open. In one step, stitch the front and back center seams, leaving an unstitched section for the ZIPPER closure. Press SEAM ALLOWANCES open from the top to the start of the curves.
  5. ZIPPER CLOSURE: Press the one-piece ZIPPER FACINGS to the wrong side. Stitch the ZIPPER under the edge of the closure allowance (left side) close to the edge. Stitch the free ZIPPER tape to the right panel to the one-piece FACING. Fold the underlap in half lengthwise, finish the upper and lower short edges. Topstitch the one-piece ZIPPER FACING onto the underlap on the left pant leg. Topstitch the right edge of the slit, catching the FACING.
  6. Upper edge of the pants: Stitch the FACINGS at the side edges. Topstitch the FACING, right sides together, to the upper edges of the panels. Trim SEAM ALLOWANCES to 0.5 cm width, place under the FACINGS and stitch close to the edge. Turn the FACINGS to the wrong side, press the upper edge. Fold the FACINGS under from the inside, sew onto the ZIPPER tape. Additionally, sew the lower edges of the FACINGS to the SEAM ALLOWANCES and dart depths.
