Sewing Instructions
WHEN STITCHING PIECES, PAY ATTENTION TO THE NOTCHES - THEY MUST MATCH!
- Interface the facings with fusible interfacing.
- Stitch the darts on the front. Press the dart allowances upwards.
- Serge the outer allowance of the drapery, fold inwards, and topstitch. Or finish with a "French seam" (American seam), for this, you need to trim the allowances. Serge the upper straight edge of the bow. Fold the integrated bow along the marked center line, right sides together, and stitch the ends of the bow. Clip the neckline allowance at the stitching line where the bow begins. Place the drapery on the front, secure it along the neckline edge, shoulder edge, armhole, and side edge. Cut a strip 4 cm wide. Fold the edges to the center and press. Place the strip right side down on the right side of the front between the marks. Stitch to the front along the neckline edge. Gather the drapery. If necessary, secure the pleats by hand. Wrap the pleats with the strip and secure at the neckline edge.
- Stitch the side and shoulder seams, press allowances towards the back and serge.
- Stitch the shoulder seams of the neckline facings, press allowances open. Serge the outer edge of the facings. Place the facings right side down on the main garment and stitch the neckline edge. Clip allowances at curves, turn facing to the right side, and press.
- Stitch the sleeve seams, press allowances towards the back and serge. Set sleeves into armholes, press allowances and serge.
- Serge the bottom edge of the garment and sleeves, press to the wrong side, and topstitch.
