CUTTER'S MUST
IF THE PATTERNS HAVE A DOUBLE CONTOUR, THEY INCLUDE SEAM ALLOWANCES. IF THE CONTOUR IS SINGLE, THE PATTERNS DO NOT INCLUDE SEAM ALLOWANCES. SEAM ALLOWANCES: all seams 1 cm. Hem allowance for the bottom of the garment – 2 cm, for the sleeve hem – 3 cm. Allowance for the center cut of the front yoke – 2 cm. ATTENTION! FIRST OF ALL, PRINT OUT THE PAPER PATTERNS AND LAY THEM OUT ON THE FABRIC WIDTH (fabric width can be from 90 cm to 150 cm) TO DETERMINE HOW MUCH MATERIAL YOU WILL NEED (do not forget to account for paired and symmetrical parts). - Fuse the collar stand and the allowance along the center cut of the front yoke with fusible interfacing.
- Stitch the front yokes from the mark downwards. Press seams open. Fold the allowance inwards by 1 cm, then another 1 cm, and topstitch along the slit.
- Along the upper edge of the front, make a basting stitch with loosened upper thread and gather. Attach the yokes to the front. Overlock the allowance and press upwards.
- Along the upper edge of the back between the marks, make a basting stitch with loosened upper thread and gather. Attach the yoke to the back. Overlock the allowance and press upwards.
- Stitch the shoulder and side seams of the blouse. Press seams towards the back and overlock.
- Cut a bias strip 2.5 cm wide and 5 cm long for the loop. Fold the strip in half lengthwise, right sides together, and stitch 0.3 cm from the fold. Trim allowances close to the stitching, turn the strip right side out, and straighten the rouleau. Adjust the loop length.
- Place the collar stand pieces right sides together and stitch along the outer edge, starting and ending the stitching exactly at the collar stand attachment line. Insert the loop between the collar stands on the right side. Clip allowances at curves, turn the collar stand right side out, and press. Attach the outer collar stand to the neckline, fold under the open edge of the inner collar stand, and topstitch into the attachment seam.
- Along the upper edge of the lower sleeve part, make a basting stitch with loosened upper thread and gather. Stitch the upper and lower sleeve parts. Overlock the allowance, press upwards. Stitch and overlock the sleeve edges. Set sleeves into armholes. Overlock the seam.
- Press the bottom of the garment to the wrong side, fold twice by 1 cm, and topstitch.
- Overlock the sleeve hem, fold inwards, and topstitch, forming a casing. Thread elastic tape through the casing and secure it.
- Sew a button on the left side of the collar stand.
