FABRIC RECOMMENDATIONS: dress fabrics made of natural or blended fibers. YOU WILL ALSO NEED: fusible interfacing, concealed zipper.

CUTTER'S MUST

IF THE PATTERNS HAVE A DOUBLE CONTOUR, SEAM ALLOWANCES ARE INCLUDED. IF THE CONTOUR IS SINGLE, SEAM ALLOWANCES ARE NOT INCLUDED. SEAM ALLOWANCES: all seams 1 cm; hem allowance for dress bottom and sleeve bottom – 3.0 cm, allowance along the slit – 2.5 cm. ATTENTION! FIRST, PRINT OUT THE PAPER PATTERNS AND LAY THEM OUT ON THE FABRIC WIDTH (fabric width can be from 90cm to 150cm) TO DETERMINE HOW MUCH MATERIAL YOU WILL NEED (don't forget to account for paired and symmetrical pieces). WHEN STITCHING PIECES, PAY ATTENTION TO THE NOTCHES - THEY MUST MATCH!

  • From main fabric:
    • Back - 2 pieces
    • Front - 1 piece on fold
    • Back sleeve — 2 pieces
    • Front sleeve — 2 pieces
    • Back neckline facing – 2 pieces
    • Front neckline facing — 1 piece
  • From fusible interfacing:
    • Back neckline facing – 2 pieces
    • Front neckline facing — 1 piece

Sewing Instructions

  1. Reinforce facing pieces with fusible interfacing.
  2. Finish the center back edges separately. Stitch the center back seam from the zipper mark to the slit mark. Press seam allowances open, pressing the zipper slit and the slit. Insert the zipper. Topstitch the lower slit 0.1 cm from the fold.
  3. Attach the back sleeve to the back, press allowances towards the sleeve, finish edges. Attach the front sleeve to the front, press allowances towards the sleeve, finish edges.
  4. Stitch shoulder seams, press allowances towards the back and finish edges. Stitch the sleeve seam simultaneously with the side seam, press allowances towards the back and finish edges.
  5. Stitch shoulder seams of neckline facings, finish the outer edge. Place the dress and facing right sides together, aligning neckline edges, and stitch. Clip allowances at curves, turn facing to the wrong side and press. Secure facing to shoulder seams and zipper tape.
  6. Finish the bottom edge of the garment and the sleeve hem, press to the wrong side and hem with blind stitches.
