FABRIC RECOMMENDATIONS: Blouse fabrics made from natural or blended fibers. YOU WILL ALSO NEED: fusible interfacing.
CUTTER'S MUST
IF THE PATTERNS HAVE A DOUBLE CONTOUR, THEY INCLUDE SEAM ALLOWANCES. IF THE CONTOUR IS SINGLE, THE PATTERNS DO NOT INCLUDE SEAM ALLOWANCES. SEAM ALLOWANCES: Hem allowance for the garment bottom and sleeve hem – 2 cm, other seams 1 cm. ATTENTION! FIRST, PRINT OUT THE PAPER PATTERNS AND LAY THEM OUT ON THE FABRIC WIDTH (fabric width can be from 90 cm to 150 cm) TO DETERMINE HOW MUCH MATERIAL YOU WILL NEED. WHEN STITCHING PIECES, PAY ATTENTION TO THE NOTCHES - THEY MUST MATCH!
- From main fabric:
- Front – 1 piece on fold
- Back – 1 piece on fold
- Cuff – 2 pieces
- Back neckline facing – 1 piece
- Front neckline facing – 1 piece
- From fusible interfacing:
- Back neckline facing – 1 piece
- Front neckline facing – 1 piece
Sewing Instructions
- Fuse interfacing to the facing pieces.
- Stitch darts on the front, press allowances towards the center. Fold and stitch the inverted pleat from the neckline edge to the mark.
- Stitch shoulder seams, press allowances towards the back and overcast.
- Along the upper edge of the cuff, stitch with a loosened thread and gather. Attach the cuff to the sleeve, press allowances towards the sleeve and overcast.
- Stitch side seams simultaneously with the sleeve seam, press allowances towards the back and overcast.
- Stitch shoulder seams of facings, press allowances open. Overcast the outer edge. Place facings right sides together with the garment and stitch the neckline edge. Clip allowances at curves, turn facings to the wrong side and press. Secure facings to shoulder seams.
- Overcast the bottom edge of the garment and sleeve, press to the wrong side and topstitch.
