Sewing Instructions

WHEN STITCHING PIECES, PAY ATTENTION TO THE NOTCHES - THEY MUST MATCH!

  1. Stitch shoulder darts, press depths towards the center.
  2. Make a slit on the back along the marked line. Cut a bias strip from the main fabric 4 cm wide and a length equal to twice the slit length + 4 cm. Fold the bias strip in half lengthwise and press. Press outer allowances towards the center. Finish the slit with the bias strip.
  3. Overlock the center edges of the front separately. Stitch the center edge of the front, press allowances open, pressing the slit. Stitch a decorative line 0.1 cm along the edge of the slit. Create and secure pleats on the front neckline (depths directed away from the center).
  4. Stitch the side and shoulder edges of the blouse, press allowances towards the back and overlock.
  5. Cut a bias strip 3 cm wide and 10 cm long. Fold the strip in half lengthwise and stitch 0.3 cm from the fold. Trim allowances and turn the piece right side out. Cut the rouleau into two parts, adjust the loop length.
  6. Fold the collar stand piece right sides together and stitch the short sides and the section between the round marks. Clip allowances at the marks, turn the collar stand right side out, press.
  7. Attach the left outer side of the collar stand to the neckline, press allowances towards the collar stand. Twist the collar stand and attach the right outer side to the neckline, press allowances towards the collar stand. Fold under the edge of the inner collar stand and topstitch into the attachment seam.
  8. Make a slit on the sleeve along the marked line. Cut a bias strip from the main fabric 4 cm wide and a length equal to twice the slit length + 4 cm. Fold the bias strip in half lengthwise and press. Press outer allowances towards the center. Finish the sleeve slit with the bias strip.
  9. Stitch the sleeve edge, press allowances and overlock. Stitch along the lower edges of the sleeve with a loosely tensioned thread and gather.
  10. Attach sleeves to armholes, press allowances and overlock.
  11. Fold the cuff in half lengthwise, right sides together, and stitch the short sides and the notch. Start stitching strictly at the marked line for attaching the cuff to the sleeve. Clip allowances at the mark, turn the cuff right side out and press. Attach the outer side of the cuff to the bottom of the sleeve. Fold under the inner side of the cuff and topstitch into the attachment seam.
  12. Overlock the bottom edges of the garment, press to the wrong side and topstitch.
  13. Fold the collar stand in half, insert the rouleau loops between the layers on the right side and topstitch. Sew buttons on the left side. Sew buttons on the cuffs.
