Fabric & Materials

FABRIC RECOMMENDATIONS: Knit fabric with low to medium stretch, made of natural or blended fibers. Knitted lace with scallops on both sides, 10 cm to 18 cm wide (this parameter is entered when ordering the pattern).

CUTTER'S MUST

IF THE PATTERNS HAVE A DOUBLE CONTOUR, THEY INCLUDE SEAM ALLOWANCES. IF THE CONTOUR IS SINGLE, THE PATTERNS DO NOT INCLUDE SEAM ALLOWANCES. SEAM ALLOWANCES: Hem allowance for the garment bottom and sleeve hem – 1.5 cm; allowance for the upper (between marks) and lower edges of the back insert and front insert - 0 cm; other seams 1.0 cm. ATTENTION! FIRST, PRINT OUT THE PAPER PATTERNS AND LAY THEM OUT ON THE FABRIC WIDTH (fabric width can be from 90 cm to 150 cm) TO DETERMINE HOW MUCH MATERIAL YOU WILL NEED.

• From main fabric:
  • Back – 2 pieces
  • Front — 1 piece on fold
  • Shoulder insert - 2 pieces
• From lace:
  • Back insert – 1 piece on fold
  • Front insert — 1 piece on fold

Tip: Cut pieces from knit fabrics are stitched with a special elastic or narrow zigzag stitch. The hem allowance is topstitched with a twin needle or on a coverstitch machine to maintain elasticity. You can also stitch pieces directly on a 3- or 4-thread overlock machine.

Sewing Instructions

WHEN STITCHING PIECES, PAY ATTENTION TO THE NOTCHES - THEY MUST MATCH!

1. Stitch the center back seam, press allowances to the left side and overcast.
2. Overcast the upper edge of the back. Place the back insert onto the back, aligning the edge of the insert with the marked seam line on the back, and topstitch. Overcast the upper edge of the front. Place the front insert onto the front, aligning the edge of the insert with the marked seam line on the front, and topstitch.
3. Overcast the perimeter of the shoulder insert, press the vertical edge (neckline edge) to the wrong side and topstitch.
4. Place the back insert onto the shoulder insert, aligning the edge of the back insert with the marked seam line on the shoulder insert, and topstitch. Place the front insert onto the shoulder insert, aligning the edge of the front insert with the marked seam line on the shoulder insert, and topstitch. Stitch the upper sleeve seam, press allowances open and overcast.
5. Stitch the lower sleeve edge, simultaneously stitching the side seam, press allowances towards the back and overcast.
6. Overcast the lower edge of the garment and the lower edge of the sleeve, press to the wrong side and topstitch.

Tip: 1. The lower edge of the sleeve can also be bound with knit bias tape. In this case, the sleeve hem allowance should be trimmed. 2. Lace fabric can be used as a trim. In this case, do not forget to add an allowance for finishing the details on the back insert and front insert.
