Fabric recommendations: dress fabrics made of natural or blended fibers. YOU WILL ALSO NEED: fusible interfacing.

CUTTER'S MUST

IF THE PATTERNS HAVE A DOUBLE CONTOUR, THEY INCLUDE SEAM ALLOWANCES. IF THE CONTOUR IS SINGLE, THE PATTERNS DO NOT INCLUDE SEAM ALLOWANCES. SEAM ALLOWANCES: all seams 1 cm; hem allowance for dress bottom, sleeve bottom – 2.0 cm. ATTENTION! FIRST, PRINT OUT THE PAPER PATTERNS AND LAY THEM OUT ON THE FABRIC WIDTH (fabric width can be from 90cm to 150cm) TO DETERMINE HOW MUCH MATERIAL YOU WILL NEED (do not forget to account for paired and symmetrical details).

• From main fabric:
  • Back - 1 piece on fold
  • Front - 1 piece on fold
  • Front yoke - 1 piece
  • Sleeve - 2 pieces
  • Back neckline facing – 2 pieces
  • Front neckline facing – 1 piece
  • Bow – 1 piece
• From fusible interfacing:
  • Back neckline facing – 2 pieces
  • Front neckline facing – 1 piece

Sewing Instructions

WHEN STITCHING PIECES, PAY ATTENTION TO THE NOTCHES - THEY MUST MATCH!

1. Fuse interfacing to the neckline facing pieces.
2. Fold the back piece in half lengthwise, right sides together, and stitch the pleat 6 – 7 cm from the top. Spread the pleat depths to form a box pleat, press.
3. Stitch the darts on the front piece. Press the dart depths upwards.
4. Attach the yoke to the front, press seam allowances upwards, serge.
5. Stitch the side and shoulder seams, press seam allowances towards the back and serge.
6. Stitch the shoulder seams of the facings, press seam allowances open. Serge the bottom edge. Place the facing on the garment right sides together and stitch the neckline edge and back opening. Clip seam allowances at curves, trim at corners. Turn the facing to the wrong side, straighten, press. Stitch the upper edges of the pleat depths to the facing.
7. Stitch the sleeve seam, press seam allowances towards the back and serge. Set sleeves into armholes, matching notches, serge seam allowances.
8. Serge the hem allowance of the dress bottom and sleeve bottom, press to the wrong side and topstitch.
9. Fold the bow piece right sides together and stitch along three sides, leaving an opening for turning. Trim seam allowances at corners, turn the bow right side out and press. Hand stitch the opening closed. In the middle of the bow, stitch with a loosely tensioned thread and gather. Attach the bow to the dress according to the technical sketch.
