Fabric & Materials

Fabric recommendations: dense knit fabric with low to medium stretch, made from natural or blended fibers. YOU WILL ALSO NEED: contrasting knit bias binding (approximate length indicated on the front pattern piece); 4 buttons.

CUTTER'S MUST

IF THE PATTERNS HAVE A DOUBLE CONTOUR, SEAM ALLOWANCES ARE INCLUDED. IF THE CONTOUR IS SINGLE, SEAM ALLOWANCES ARE NOT INCLUDED. SEAM ALLOWANCES: 2 cm for the bottom edge of the garment and sleeve hem, 0 cm for the neckline, 0 cm for the right front edge (up to the slit), all other seams 1 cm. ATTENTION! FIRST, PRINT OUT THE PAPER PATTERNS AND LAY THEM OUT ON THE FABRIC WIDTH (fabric width can be from 90 cm to 150 cm) TO DETERMINE HOW MUCH MATERIAL YOU WILL NEED.

• From main fabric:
  • Back – 2 pieces
  • Right front part – 1 piece
  • Left front part – 1 piece
  • Sleeve – 2 pieces

Tip: Knit fabric pieces are stitched with a special elastic or narrow zigzag stitch. When serging, trim seam allowances to 0.8 cm. The hem allowance is topstitched with a twin needle to maintain elasticity. You can also stitch pieces directly on a 3- or 4-thread overlock machine.

Sewing Instructions

WHEN STITCHING PIECES, PAY ATTENTION TO THE NOTCHES - THEY MUST MATCH! Markings on patterns are made on the right side!

1. Stitch the center back seam, press seam allowances to the left and serge.
2. Stitch the dart on the right front part. Trim the depth with an overlock and press downwards.
3. Stitch the shoulder seams, press seam allowances towards the back and serge.
4. Serge the left front part along the shaped edge. Clip the seam allowance at the slit mark. Fold the seam allowance inwards and topstitch along the slit 0.2 cm from the edge.
5. Serge the section from the slit mark to the bottom on the right front part. Fold the seam allowance inwards and topstitch 0.2 cm from the edge. Bind the edge of the right front part, the neckline of the right front part, the back neckline, and the neckline of the left front part. Place the right part over the left, secure with pins along the edge, and topstitch the pieces into the binding seam.
6. Set in the sleeves into the armholes, press seam allowances towards the sleeve and serge.
7. Stitch the side seam simultaneously with the sleeve seam, serge seam allowances and press towards the back.
8. Serge the hem allowance of the garment and sleeve, press to the wrong side and topstitch.
9. Sew on decorative buttons according to the technical drawing sketch.
