Cutter's Must
If the patterns have a double contour, they include seam allowances. If the contour is single, the patterns do not include seam allowances. Seam allowances: hem allowance – 2.0 cm; upper edges of lace details – 0 cm; sleeve hem allowance – 0 cm; other seams 1 cm. Attention! First, print out the paper patterns and lay them out on the fabric width (fabric width can be from 90 cm to 150 cm) to determine how much material you will need. Attention: Lace fabric details are cut along the finished edge!
- From main fabric:
- Back – 1 piece on fold
- Front – 1 piece on fold
- Sleeve – 2 pieces
- From lace:
- Front yoke - 1 piece
- Back yoke – 1 piece
- Sleeve insert – 2 pieces
Sewing Instructions
When stitching pieces, pay attention to the notches - they must match!
- Stitch the yoke to the back. Overlock the allowance and press it down.
- Stitch the darts on the front pieces. Press the dart depths upwards. Stitch the yoke to the front. Overlock the allowance and press it down.
- Make a slit on the sleeve along the marked line. Cut a bias strip from the main fabric, 4 cm wide and with a length equal to twice the slit length + 4 cm. Fold the bias strip in half lengthwise and press. Press the outer allowances towards the center. Finish the sleeve slit with the bias strip. Stitch the insert to the sleeve. Overlock the allowance and press it down.
- Set the sleeve into the armhole of the front and back. Press the allowances away from the sleeve and overlock.
- Stitch the side seam simultaneously with the sleeve seam. Press the allowances towards the back and overlock.
- Along the lower edge of the sleeve, stitch with a loosely tensioned thread and gather. Cut a bias strip 2.5 cm wide and 5 cm long for a loop. Fold the strip in half lengthwise, right sides together, and stitch 0.3 cm from the fold. Trim the allowances close to the stitching, turn the strip right side out, and straighten the rouleau. Adjust the loop length. Sew the loop to the bottom of the sleeve. Finish the sleeve hem with bias binding.
- Press the bottom edge of the garment twice by 1 cm to the wrong side and topstitch.
- Sew buttons onto the sleeves.
