CUTTER'S MUST
- From main fabric:
- BACK PANEL upper part – 2 QTY
- FRONT PANEL upper part – 1 QTY
- BACK SKIRT HALF lower part – 2 QTY
- FRONT SKIRT HALF lower part – 1 QTY on fold
- SLEEVE – 2 QTY
- CUFF – 2 QTY
- From FUSIBLE INTERFACING:
- CUFF – 2 QTY
Sewing Instructions
- Reinforce the CUFFS with FUSIBLE INTERFACING.
- Stitch the darts on the BACK PANEL pieces, press the dart excess towards the center. Along the upper edge of the BACK SKIRT HALF, stitch with a loosened upper thread and gather. Stitch the upper and lower parts together. Overlock the SEAM ALLOWANCES and press them upwards. Stitch the center seam. Overlock the SEAM ALLOWANCE and press it to the left side.
- Stitch the darts on the FRONT PANEL piece, press the dart excess towards the center. Along the upper edge of the FRONT SKIRT HALF, stitch with a loosened upper thread and gather. Stitch the upper and lower parts together. Overlock the SEAM ALLOWANCES and press them upwards.
- Stitch the right side seam, press the SEAM ALLOWANCE towards the back and overlock. Overlock the left side seams separately. Stitch the left side seam from the armhole to the NOTCH and from the ZIPPER NOTCH to the bottom. Insert the ZIPPER into the left side seam.
- Stitch the SLEEVE seam. Overlock the SEAM ALLOWANCE and press it towards the back of the SLEEVE. Along the lower edge of the SLEEVE, stitch with a loosened upper thread and gather. Stitch the CUFF into a ring. Press the SEAM ALLOWANCE open. Fold the CUFF lengthwise and attach it to the SLEEVE. Overlock the SEAM ALLOWANCE. Insert the SLEEVE into the lower part of the armhole, aligning the NOTCHES. Overlock the SEAM ALLOWANCE.
- Overlock the upper edge of the dress. Fold the SEAM ALLOWANCE inwards and topstitch, forming a casing. Thread elastic through the casing, securing the elastic.
- Overlock the hem allowance of the dress, press it to the wrong side and topstitch.
