  • From main fabric:
    1. BACK SKIRT HALF – QTY 2
    2. Right FRONT SKIRT HALF – QTY 1
    3. Middle FRONT SKIRT HALF – QTY 1
    4. Left FRONT SKIRT HALF – QTY 1
    5. Detachable part of FRONT SKIRT HALF – QTY 1
    6. Waistband – QTY 1
  • From contrast fabric:
    1. FRONT SKIRT HALF insert – QTY 1
  • From FUSIBLE INTERFACING:
    1. Waistband – QTY 1

Sewing Instructions

  1. Fuse the waistband with FUSIBLE INTERFACING.
  2. Stitch darts on BACK SKIRT HALVES. Press the fullness towards the center.
  3. Overlock the SEAM ALLOWANCES of the center back seam on each piece separately. Stitch the center seam from the zipper mark to the bottom, press the SEAM ALLOWANCES open, pressing the slit for the zipper. Insert the ZIPPER.
  4. Fold the detachable part in half lengthwise, right sides together, and stitch along the bottom edge. Turn the piece right side out, straighten, and press.
  5. Fold the left and middle parts of the FRONT SKIRT HALF, insert the detachable part between them (the length of the detachable part is less by the width of the hem allowance) and stitch. Press the SEAM ALLOWANCES towards the middle part and overlock.
  6. Attach the FRONT SKIRT HALF insert to the middle FRONT SKIRT HALF, press the SEAM ALLOWANCES towards the insert and overlock. Attach the right FRONT SKIRT HALF to the insert, press the SEAM ALLOWANCES towards the insert, overlock.
  7. Stitch the side seams. Press the SEAM ALLOWANCES towards the BACK PANEL and overlock.
  8. Attach the waistband to the upper edge of the skirt. Stitch the ends of the waistband, trim the SEAM ALLOWANCES at the corners and turn out. Fold under the inner edge of the waistband and topstitch into the attaching seam. Press the waistband when finished.
  9. Overlock the bottom edge of the skirt, press to the wrong side and hem with blind stitches.
  10. Mark and make a buttonhole on the waistband. Sew on the button.
