Cutter's Must

  • From lining fabric:
    1. Center back - 2 pieces
    2. Back side - 2 pieces
    3. Front side - 2 pieces
  • From fusible interfacing:
    1. Center front – 2 pieces
    2. Collar piece – 4 pieces

Sewing Instructions

  1. Fuse fusible interfacing to the inner center front and collar pieces.
  2. Stitch the princess seams on the back, press the seam allowances towards the center. Stitch the center back seam. Press the seam allowance open.
  3. Stitch the princess seams on the front pieces, press the seam allowances towards the center. Stitch the side seams. Press the seam allowances open. Attach the collar piece to the front. Press the seam allowance open.
  4. Cut a trim strip 6 cm wide. Fold in half lengthwise and press. Fold the outer edges towards the center and press again. Stitch the folds along the strap 0.2 cm from the edge.
  5. Stitch the lining pieces similarly to the main pieces, leaving an opening in the left side seam. Attach the inner front and inner collar piece.
  6. Place the main and lining pieces right sides together and stitch along the contour, inserting the straps. Turn right side out through the opening. Close the opening.
  7. Make buttonholes on the front panels and sew on buttons.
