Sewing Instructions

1. Stitch darts on upper BACK PANEL and FRONT PANEL, press SEAM ALLOWANCES towards the center.
2. Overlock the lower edges of the BACK FLOUNCES and FRONT FLOUNCES, press to the wrong side and topstitch. Place FLOUNCE_1 over FLOUNCE_2 and secure along the raw edges.
3. Stitch the upper and lower BACK PANELS together, press SEAM ALLOWANCES upwards and overlock. Attach the FLOUNCE to the BACK PANEL, press SEAM ALLOWANCES upwards and overlock.
4. Stitch the center seam of the COLLAR, press SEAM ALLOWANCES open and overlock. Overlock the outer edge, press to the wrong side and topstitch. Place COLLAR_1 over COLLAR_2 and secure along the inner edge.
5. Stitch the shoulder seams of the upper BACK PANEL and FRONT PANEL, press SEAM ALLOWANCES towards the BACK PANEL and overlock.
6. Place the COLLAR right side to the wrong side of the dress and attach the left part along the neckline edge to the center back, overlock SEAM ALLOWANCES. Fold the left end to the right side and secure with the center edge of the FRONT PANEL. Insert the left side of the FRONT PANEL between the right FRONT PANEL and the COLLAR and stitch the remaining part of the COLLAR attachment seam from the center back to the waist. Overlock SEAM ALLOWANCES. Fold back the right part of the COLLAR and secure with the waist edge.
7. Attach the left FLOUNCE to the lower left FRONT PANEL, press SEAM ALLOWANCES upwards and overlock. Stitch the right lower FRONT PANEL to the left, inserting the right FLOUNCE between them and continuing the seam to the side seam. Press and overlock SEAM ALLOWANCES. Stitch the upper and lower FRONT PANELS together, press SEAM ALLOWANCES upwards and overlock.
8. Overlock the left side seams separately on the BACK PANEL and FRONT PANEL. Stitch the left side seams from the armhole to the upper NOTCH and from the lower NOTCH downwards, press SEAM ALLOWANCES open, pressing the slit for the ZIPPER. Insert the ZIPPER. Stitch the right side seams, press SEAM ALLOWANCES towards the BACK PANEL, overlock.
9. Cut (if not pre-made) a BIAS BINDING 4 cm wide for armhole finishing. Fold the BIAS BINDING in half lengthwise, right side out, and press. Place the TRIM STRIP with the armhole edge right side together and stitch, fold the TRIM STRIP to the wrong side and topstitch along the fold onto the main piece.
10. Overlock the belt piece along the contour, press SEAM ALLOWANCES to the wrong side and topstitch. Or overlock along the contour with a narrow rolled hem.
