Sewing Instructions

1. Fuse FUSIBLE INTERFACING to the designated pieces.
2. Stitch darts on the upper and lower BACK PANEL pieces. Press SEAM ALLOWANCES towards the center back. Stitch waist and bust darts on the FRONT PANEL. Press waist dart SEAM ALLOWANCES towards the center, and bust darts upwards. Stitch bust darts on the upper FRONT PANEL, press SEAM ALLOWANCES upwards.
3. Stitch the shaped edge of the FLOUNCE, press SEAM ALLOWANCES open and serge. Stitch the center edge of the FLOUNCE from the NOTCH to the bottom, clip SEAM ALLOWANCES at the NOTCH, press open, and serge the lower part.
4. On the left lower BACK PANEL, cut 5 cm along the vertical slit edge. On both lower BACK PANEL pieces, fuse the slit on the wrong side. On the right side, mark the center seam line (slit fold line). Press the left part along the slit fold line, and on the right part, press only the right slit SEAM ALLOWANCE (6 cm) to the wrong side. Align the pieces along the center seam and secure at the upper slit edge. Serge the slit SEAM ALLOWANCES. Stitch the center back edge from the NOTCH to the slit corner. Clip the slit seam SEAM ALLOWANCE corner on the right part. Place the FLOUNCE on the lower BACK PANEL, wrong side to right side, and secure along the edges.
5. Stitch the upper and lower BACK PANELs, press SEAM ALLOWANCES upwards and serge. Press open the center back seam SEAM ALLOWANCES, serge together with the FLOUNCE edges, press the slit SEAM ALLOWANCES and secure them on the right side with machine stitching. Insert the ZIPPER.
6. Serge the upper edge of the FRONT PANEL, press to the wrong side and topstitch. Place the upper FRONT PANEL on the FRONT PANEL, wrong side to right side, and secure along the armhole edge and side edge up to the NOTCH.
7. Stitch the FLOUNCE to the upper FRONT PANEL from the NOTCH to the bottom, clip SEAM ALLOWANCES at the NOTCH, press open, and serge the lower part. Stitch the side seams of the dress, folding back the FLOUNCE, press SEAM ALLOWANCES towards the back and serge. Stitch the shoulder seams, press SEAM ALLOWANCES towards the back and serge.
8. Stitch the shoulder seams of the back neckline FACING and front facing, press SEAM ALLOWANCES open. Serge the outer edge. Place the front facings on the upper part of the dress, right sides together, and stitch the neckline edge, front edges, and lower corner. Clip SEAM ALLOWANCES at curves, trim at corners, turn to the right side and press. Secure the FACING to the ZIPPER tape and to the shoulder seams.
9. Stitch the SLEEVE seam, press SEAM ALLOWANCES towards the back and serge. Set the SLEEVES into the armholes, matching NOTCHES. Press and serge SEAM ALLOWANCES.
10. Serge the bottom edge of the dress and SLEEVE, press to the wrong side and topstitch. Serge the SEAM ALLOWANCE of the lower FLOUNCE edge and upper FRONT PANEL, press to the wrong side and topstitch.

TIP: The dress is recommended to be worn with a belt.
