Sewing Instructions

1. Fuse interfacing to the back and front neck facings.
2. Fold FLOUNCE pieces right sides together and stitch the outer edge and inner edge from the top edge to the notch. Clip SEAM ALLOWANCES near the notch and on curves, turn the FLOUNCE right side out, and press. Overlock the top edge of the FLOUNCE.
3. Fold the TRIM STRIP piece in half lengthwise, right side in, and stitch. Turn right side out, press, centering the seam.
4. Stitch the BACK PANEL relief seams, press SEAM ALLOWANCES towards the center and overlock.
5. On both BACK PANEL center pieces, fuse interfacing to the vent from the wrong side. On the right side, mark the center seam line (vent fold line). Overlock the center edge of the BACK PANEL separately on each piece, overlocking the vent simultaneously. Stitch the center edge of the BACK PANEL from the zipper mark to the edge of the vent. Clip the corner of the vent SEAM ALLOWANCE on the right piece. Press the center seam SEAM ALLOWANCES open, pressing the vent. Press the right side of the vent 1 cm to the wrong side and topstitch. Press the vent SEAM ALLOWANCES towards the left side and topstitch along the top with a machine stitch. Insert the ZIPPER.
6. Place the FRONT PANEL center piece made of lace fabric onto the corresponding piece of main fabric and treat as one piece thereafter.
7. Stitch the FRONT PANEL relief seams, inserting the FLOUNCE into the left seam. Overlock SEAM ALLOWANCES and press towards the center.
8. Overlock the lower edge of the SLEEVE, press to the wrong side and topstitch. Stitch along the lower edge with elastic thread. Create and secure pleats along the upper edge.
9. Attach the SLEEVE pieces, aligning NOTCHES, to the BACK PANEL and FRONT PANEL. Clip SEAM ALLOWANCES at the notch and overlock.
10. Stitch the shoulder edges of the neck facings, press SEAM ALLOWANCES open. Overlock the outer edge. Place the facing right sides together with the garment and stitch the neckline edge, inserting the TRIM STRIP. Clip SEAM ALLOWANCES on curves, turn the facing to the wrong side, and press. Attach the center edges of the facing to the zipper tape.
11. Fold the free edge of the TRIM STRIP inwards and topstitch onto the FRONT PANEL. Create a free pleat with the free edge of the FLOUNCE and secure it under the TRIM STRIP.
12. Stitch the side edges, press SEAM ALLOWANCES towards the BACK PANEL and overlock.
13. Cut a BIAS BINDING 4 cm wide and a length equal to the length of the unfinished armhole + 6 cm. Fold the BIAS BINDING in half lengthwise, right side out, and press. Place the binding with the armhole edge right sides together, extending the tails, and stitch. Fold the binding to the wrong side, clip the seams, and topstitch along the fold onto the main piece. Press the seam.
14. Overlock the lower edge of the dress, press to the wrong side and topstitch.
