Sewing Instructions

Stitch the center edges of the back pieces. Overlock seam allowances. Attach the back insert to the upper and lower back parts. Overlock seam allowances.
Stitch the contoured edge of the front. Overlock seam allowance and press towards the center. Fold the upper insert trim strip in half lengthwise and attach to the upper edge of the upper insert. Overlock seam allowance. Fold the lower insert trim strip in half lengthwise and attach to the lower edge of the lower front insert. Overlock seam allowance.
Stitch the shoulder edges. Overlock seam allowances.
Fold the upper front trim strip in half lengthwise and place it on the upper insert, securing it along the edge. Attach the upper front trim strip to the trim strip. Fold the neckline bias binding right sides together and stitch along the inner and two outer sides. Turn right side out and press. Attach the bias binding to the neckline.
Cut a strip 5.4 cm wide, with the length indicated on the pattern for the lower front (vert. trim). Fold the piece in half lengthwise right side out and topstitch onto the lower front insert. Attach the lower insert to the lower front. Overlock seam allowance.
Fold the bridge in half lengthwise right sides together and stitch. Turn right side out, centering the seam. Fold the bow piece in half lengthwise and stitch along three sides, leaving an opening for turning. Trim seam allowances and turn right side out. Sew the opening closed with invisible stitches.
Attach the front insert to the upper and lower front parts, inserting the bridge for the bow. Overlock seam allowances.
Create a box pleat on the sleeve and secure it along the lower edge. Stitch along the sleeve cap between the circular marks with a loosely tensioned upper thread and gather. Fold the sleeve trim strip right side out and attach to the bottom of the sleeve. Overlock seam allowance. Set the sleeve into the armhole.
Stitch the side edge simultaneously with the sleeve edge. Overlock seam allowances.
