  • 6. Front yoke – 2 qty
  • 7. Back facing – 2 qty
  • 8. Flounce – 1 qty on fold
  • From fusible interfacing:
  • 1. Back facing – 2 qty
  • 2. Front yoke – 1 qty

Sewing Instructions

  1. Fuse interfacing to the designated pieces.
  2. Stitch the back side to the upper back, press seam allowances towards the center and serge. Topstitch 0.1 cm from the seam.
  3. Serge the center edges of the upper back separately. Stitch the center seam from the zipper mark downwards. Press seam allowances open. Insert the zipper.
  4. Create a box pleat on the flounce. Stitch the flounce to the upper back, press seam allowances upwards and serge.
  5. Stitch the back princess seams, press seam allowances towards the side and serge. Topstitch 0.1 cm from the seam.
  6. Stitch the front princess seams, press seam allowances towards the center and serge. Topstitch 0.1 cm from the seam. Stitch the front yoke to the front skirt half, press seam allowances upwards. Topstitch 0.1 cm from the seam.
  7. Stitch the side seams of the skirt, press seam allowances towards the back skirt half and serge.
  8. Stitch the side seams of the inner front yoke and back facings, press seam allowances open. Serge the bottom edge. Place the facing and skirt right sides together and stitch the top edge. Topstitch the seam allowances to the facing 0.2 cm from the stitching line. Fold the facings to the wrong side and press. Fold the center edges and sew to the zipper tape. Attach the facing to the side seam allowances.
  9. Serge the bottom edge of the skirt, press to the wrong side and hem with blind stitches.
