- Back Inset – 1 piece
- Front Inset – 1 piece
- From fusible interfacing:
- Back Yoke – 1 piece
- Front Yoke – 1 piece
Sewing Instructions
- Fuse interfacing to the inner Back Yoke and inner Front Yoke.
- Stitch the princess seams joining the Center Back Skirt and Back Side Skirt pieces. Press the seam allowances towards the center and serge.
- Serge the center back edges of each Center Back Skirt piece separately. Stitch the center back seam from the top edge to the slit mark. Press the seam allowances open, also pressing the slit allowances.
- Stitch the Back Inset to the outer Back Yoke, press the seam allowances upwards and serge. Stitch the Back Inset to the back skirt, press the seam allowances upwards and serge.
- Stitch the Front Inset to the outer Front Yoke, press the seam allowances upwards and serge. Stitch the Front Inset to the Front Skirt, press the seam allowances upwards and serge.
- Serge the left side seams separately. Stitch the left side seam from the zipper notch to the bottom, press the seam allowances open. Insert the invisible zipper. Stitch the right side seam. Press seam allowances towards the back and serge.
- Stitch the right side seam of the inner Back Yoke and Front Yoke (these form the facing), press seam allowances open. Serge the bottom edge. Place the facing with the skirt right sides together and stitch the top edge. Topstitch the seam allowances onto the facing at a distance of 0.2 cm from the stitching line. Fold the facing to the wrong side and press. Fold under the raw edges of the facing and sew to the zipper tape. Stitch the facing in the ditch of the outer yoke seam from the right side.
- Serge the bottom edge of the skirt, press to the wrong side and hem with blind stitches. Hem the slit seam allowances with blind stitches.
