Sewing Instructions
- Fuse the inner yokes with fusible interfacing.
- Stitch the princess seams of the back skirt half. Press seam allowances towards the center and serge.
- Serge the center seams of the back skirt half separately on each piece. Stitch the center seam from the top edge to the slit mark. Press seam allowances open, pressing the slit.
- Attach the back insert to the back yoke, press seam allowances upwards and serge. Attach the back insert to the back skirt half, press seam allowances upwards and serge.
- Attach the front insert to the front yoke, press seam allowances upwards and serge. Attach the front insert to the front skirt half, press seam allowances upwards and serge.
- Serge the left side seams separately. Stitch the left side seam from the zipper notches to the bottom, press seam allowances open. Insert the zipper. Stitch the right side seam. Press seam allowances towards the back and serge.
- Stitch the right side seam of the inner yokes (hereinafter referred to as facings), press seam allowances open. Serge the bottom edge. Place the facing with the skirt right sides together and stitch the top edge. Topstitch the seam allowances onto the facing at a distance of 0.2 cm from the stitching line. Fold the facing to the wrong side and press. Fold under the raw edges of the facing and sew to the zipper tape. Topstitch the facing into the seam of attaching the outer yoke.
- Serge the bottom edge of the skirt, press to the wrong side and hem with blind stitches. Hem the slit seam allowances with blind stitches.
