- 7. Front facing — 2 qty
- From main fabric 1:
- 1. Center front — 1 qty on fold
- 2. Neckline facing of front — 1 qty
Sewing Instructions
- Stitch the princess seams of the back. Overlock seam allowances and press towards the center. Stitch the center back seam. Overlock the seam allowance.
- Stitch the darts on the center front. Trim the excess with an overlocker.
- Stitch the shoulder seams. Overlock the seam allowances.
- Overlock the lower edge of the neckline facing of the front. Finish the neckline of the center front with the facing. Turn the facing to the wrong side and secure along the princess seams.
- Stitch the center seam of the back facing. Overlock the lower edges of the front and back facings separately. Stitch the shoulder seams of the facings. (The back facing is shorter than the shoulder seam of the front facing). Place the facing with the garment right sides together, fold the center front with the side along the princess seam, positioning it between the side and the facing. Stitch the princess seams, simultaneously finishing the neckline. Press the seam allowances towards the side seam. Turn the facings to the wrong side, press and attach to the seams with hand stitches.
- Press and overlock the seam allowances. Set the sleeves into the armholes, aligning the notches. Press and overlock the seam allowances.
- Stitch the side seam and the sleeve seam.
- Fold the cuff right sides together into a loop and stitch the short edge, press the seam allowances open. Fold the cuff in half lengthwise right side out, insert the cuff into the sleeve and attach to the lower edge. Overlock the seam allowances. Turn the cuff to the right side.
- Overlock the hem of the dress, fold inwards and topstitch.
