Fabric Recommendations

- Medium-stretch knit fabrics made from natural or blended fibers (e.g., cotton jersey, rayon blends)
- Cotton companion fabric (for yoke/placket, if desired for contrast or stability)

Cutter's Must
If the patterns have a double contour, they include seam allowances. If the contour is single, the patterns do not include seam allowances. Seam allowances: Hem allowance – 2 cm, lower placket edge allowance – 2 cm, all other seams – 1 cm. Attention! First, print out the paper patterns and lay them out on the fabric width (fabric width can be from 90 cm to 150 cm) to determine how much material you will need (do not forget to account for paired and symmetrical pieces).
- From main fabric:
- Lower front - 1 piece
- Lower back - 1 piece on fold
- From companion fabric:
- Front yoke – 2 pieces
- Back yoke - 1 piece
- Placket – 4 pieces
- From fusible interfacing:
Sewing Instructions
When stitching pieces, pay attention to the notches - they must match!
- Fuse the plackets with fusible interfacing.
- Along the upper edges of the lower front and back parts (between the marks), stitch with loosely tensioned stitches and gather.
- Attach the lower front and back parts to the yokes. Overlock the seams and press them upwards.
- Fold the plackets in pairs right sides together and stitch along one long edge. Turn the pieces right side out and press. Overlock the placket edge along the long edge. Attach the plackets with the overlocked edge to the front. Cut the seam allowances at the corner on the main piece, stopping 1 mm before the seam line. Turn the plackets to the right side, tucking the plackets inwards. Secure the front and placket allowances with a stitch.
- Stitch the shoulder seams. Overlock the seams and press towards the back.
- Overlock the neckline and armhole edges. Attach lace to the armhole. Fold to the right side and topstitch the allowances to the main garment 0.1 from the attachment seam. Fold the neckline lace allowances inwards and attach the lace to the neckline. Fold to the right side and topstitch the allowances to the main garment 0.1 from the attachment seam.
- Overlock the bottom edge of the garment, fold to the wrong side and topstitch.
- On the right front, overlock the buttonholes. Sew buttons onto the left front.
