Cutter's Must
If the patterns have a double contour, seam allowances are included. If the contour is single, the patterns do not include seam allowances. Seam allowances: Hem allowance – 2.5 cm, armhole seam allowance – 1.2 cm, other seams – 1.0 cm. Attention! First, print out the paper patterns and lay them out on the fabric width (fabric width can be from 90 cm to 150 cm) to determine how much material you will need (do not forget to account for paired and symmetrical pieces).
- From main fabric:
- Back - 1 piece on fold
- Front - 1 piece on fold
- Collar – 1 piece
Sewing Instructions
When stitching pieces, pay attention to the notches - they must match!
- Fold the collar piece in half lengthwise, right sides together, and stitch the section from the edge to mark “o” and the tie section between the “arrow” marks. Clip allowances at marks, turn the collar right side out, and press.
- Stitch bust darts on the front, press depths upwards.
- Stitch shoulder seams, press allowances towards the back and serge.
- Clip the neckline allowance on the right side of the front at the bottom point and at the mark. Serge this small section, press to the wrong side, and topstitch. Attach the short edge of the collar to the left side of the front between the mark and the bottom point of the neckline, forming a pleat on the collar. Stitch the outer of the collar into the garment's neckline from the mark on the right side of the front to the bottom point of the neckline. Press allowances towards the collar. Press the lower edge of the inner of the collar to the wrong side and topstitch into the collar attachment seam. Thread the tie through the created opening.
- Serge armhole edges, press to the wrong side, and topstitch. Stitch side seams, press allowances towards the back and serge. Place a bar tack at the armhole.
- Press the garment hem to the wrong side by 1 cm, then by 1.5 cm, and topstitch.
