If the patterns have a double contour, seam allowances are included. If the contour is single, seam allowances are not included. Seam allowances: all seams 1 cm. Hem allowance for the bottom edge of the garment – 2 cm. For the bottom edge of the sleeve – 1.2 cm. Attention! First, print out the paper patterns and lay them out on the fabric width (fabric width can be from 90cm to 150cm) to determine how much material you will need (don't forget to account for paired and symmetrical pieces).

  • From main fabric:
    • Back – 2 pieces
    • Front – 2 pieces
    • Sleeve – 2 pieces
    • Collar – 2 pieces
  • From fusible interfacing:

Sewing Instructions

When stitching pieces, pay attention to the notches - they must match!

  1. Fuse interfacing to the corresponding pieces. Also interface the inner cut-on placket of the Front.
  2. Stitch the dart on the Back. Trim the dart depth to 1 cm and press towards the center. Stitch the center back seam. Overlock the allowances and press to the left side.
  3. Stitch the dart on the Front. Trim the dart depth to 1 cm with the overlocker, press towards the center.
  4. Clip the Front neckline allowance at the center front mark. Stitch the upper corner of the cut-on placket at the neckline. Notch the allowance, turn the inner placket to the wrong side and press the fold. Fold under the raw edge of the inner placket and topstitch.
  5. Stitch the shoulder seams, press the allowances towards the back, overlock.
  6. Place the Collar pieces right sides together, stitch the ends and the outer edge. Start and end the stitching exactly at the marked collar attachment line. Notch the allowances at the corners, turn the Collar right side out, shape and press. Stitch the outer Collar to the neckline, fold under the raw edge of the inner Collar and topstitch into the attachment seam.
  7. Overlock the lower edge of the Sleeve, fold to the wrong side and topstitch. Along the upper edge of the sleeve cap, stitch with a loosened upper thread and gather. Set the Sleeve into the armhole. Overlock the allowance.
  8. Stitch the side seams, press the allowances towards the back and overlock.
  9. Cut (if not ready-made) a bias strip 4 cm wide and as long as the lower part of the armhole + 4 cm. Fold the bias strip lengthwise in half, right side out, and press. Place the strip on the armhole edge from the right side and stitch. Turn the binding to the wrong side and topstitch along the fold onto the garment. Press the seam.
  10. Overlock the lower edge of the garment, press to the wrong side and topstitch.
  11. Make buttonholes on the right front and sew buttons on the left front.
