FABRIC RECOMMENDATIONS: blouse fabrics made of natural or blended fibers. YOU ALSO NEED: fusible interfacing; 6 buttons.

CUTTER'S MUST

IF THE PATTERNS HAVE A DOUBLE CONTOUR, SEAM ALLOWANCES ARE INCLUDED. IF THE CONTOUR IS SINGLE, SEAM ALLOWANCES ARE NOT INCLUDED. SEAM ALLOWANCES: all seams 1 cm. Hem allowance for the bottom edge of the garment – 2 cm. For the bottom edge of the sleeve – 1.2 cm. ATTENTION! FIRST, PRINT OUT THE PAPER PATTERNS AND LAY THEM OUT ON THE FABRIC WIDTH (fabric width can be from 90cm to 150cm) TO DETERMINE HOW MUCH MATERIAL YOU WILL NEED (don't forget to account for paired and symmetrical pieces).

  • Back – 2 pieces
  • Front – 2 pieces
  • Sleeve – 2 pieces
  • Collar – 2 pieces
• From fusible interfacing:
  • Collar – 1 piece

Sewing Instructions

WHEN STITCHING PIECES, PAY ATTENTION TO THE NOTCHES - THEY MUST MATCH!

1. Interface the pieces with fusible interfacing. Interface the inner one-piece placket.
2. Stitch the dart on the back. Trim the depth to 1 cm and press towards the center. Stitch the center back seam. Overlock the allowance and press to the left side.
3. Stitch the dart on the front. Trim the depth with an overlock to 1 cm, press allowances towards the center.
4. Clip the front neckline allowance at the center mark. Face the upper corner of the front. Trim the allowance, turn the inner placket to the wrong side and press the fold. Fold the raw edge of the inner placket inwards and topstitch.
5. Stitch the shoulder seams, press allowances towards the back, overlock.
6. Place collar pieces right sides together, stitch the ends and the outer edge. Start and end the stitching strictly at the marked collar attachment seam line. Trim allowances at the corners, turn the collar right side out, straighten and press. Attach the outer collar to the neckline, fold under the raw edge of the inner collar and topstitch into the attachment seam.
7. Overlock the bottom edge of the sleeve, fold to the wrong side and topstitch. Along the upper edge of the sleeve cap, stitch with loosened upper thread to gather. Set the sleeve into the armhole. Overlock the allowance.
8. Stitch the side seams, press allowances towards the back and overlock.
9. Cut (if not ready-made) a bias binding 4 cm wide and a length equal to the length of the lower part of the armhole + 4 cm. Fold the bias binding lengthwise in half, right side out, and press. Place the binding with the armhole edge right sides together and stitch. Fold the binding to the wrong side and topstitch along the fold onto the main piece. Press the seam.
10. Overlock the bottom edge of the garment, press to the wrong side and topstitch.
11. On the right front, overlock buttonholes, on the left – sew on buttons.
